I just put a twinset together with diverite bands and an manifold of an unknown brand although I believe it is the same as the Halcyon manifolds. I lined everything up and tightened the bands, but then noticed that the connection on the cross bar to the right valve is just slight crooked. After closer inspection it seems that the manifold is actually 8" 5/8 at its smallest and the bands are the stander 8" 1/2 centre to centre, so it definitely looks like the mani was bent during install. Is it pretty much garbage now?

Pics are attached.

Brass is malleable for a bit, but due to porosity when it's not happy it snaps
If you've relieved the tension by loosening the bands, you may work it back

If someone's not happy about it there's always that cheap metallurgist guy
