I'll update the first 2 posts as a running synopsis of this thread.

When: Saturday, May 12th
Where: La Jolla Shores, San Diego County

What is the Wrinkles Dive?

This is a monthly gathering of all divers and non-divers in SoCal who can make it. It's a lot of fun involving diving, eating, socializing and last month even camping!

It all started when our SoCal member, Wrinkles, mentioned to a group that she dove with that it would be really fun to be able to get together at least once a month. Pasley, took off with the idea and announced the first "Wrinkles Dive". The rest is history!

It's open to everyone of all skill levels from "I'm not certified yet" to "Do we really have to dive the Andrea Doria again?"

We've found this to be a great way to meet our fellow divers locally and many new dive buddies have been found though these "dive soirees".

I've started a ScubaBoard Calendar event for you to RSVP here:

How far is Mission Bay from LJS? I'm going to be down in SD helping teach a class, ironically, and we're staying in Mission Bay (Pacific Beach). So I won't be able to make the daytime fun, but there's a chance I can join up for at least a little while in the evening, if it's not too far away. :D

Edit: I'm told by the locals that it's approximately 10-15 minutes by freeway, so depending on my responsibilities and when we wrap for the day, perhaps we can come join you all. :) I'll give Christian a call when we're done and see what's going on! (Anyone up for a night dive? :eyebrow: )

im crewing on a 5 day liveaboard will be back on the 12th, that means im ready for the festivities that night

If I can find someone to show me around La Jolla I will probably go. All I ever see there is sand. But the company should be fun. Will be nice to finally meet some of the crazy SB crew.

Catalina can show you around now that you've been reunited!

This is one I really hope to attend. I really enjoyed the one there a year ago. MissyP said she'd show me around, right girl? And what are you talking about, Terry... I thought you were "the man."
