Best weather time frame for Layang Layang?

I just came back from my first trip to Layang Layang. I stayed on the island for 8 nights at the end of April/beginning of May. It was absolutely fantastic exceeding my expectations. Best pelagic action in the region. Huge school of 50+ hammerheads up close, thresher sharks, devil rays, mobula rays, manta..... Maybe I was extremely lucky too!
