.
As others have mentioned , having a boat or close access to shore is the key for this pandemic.
My social distancing started long before the virus changed the world.
We went to Bonaire in 2019 and had already decide to skip dive trips for a while. We like traveling, but at home is more relaxed.
During dive trips each day is defined by the underway times of the boat. Wake up at X am so we can be ready for the morning boat, then you have X minutes for the afternoon boat and so on.
Our weekends at home there is no looking at clocks . Wake up when you do, eat breakfast in the backyard, play with our parrot, and check the webcams of the inlet. if is a go we get the boat basket that is pretty much always ready, put some drinks and food in a small cooler and get underway. It goes like that for the rest of the day ... Once in the ocean 90% of the times we go diving right away, but after the dives we may hang around just chilling on board having a cocktail and food, go right away back to the house, or just go cruising the intracoastal.
The level of freedom and chill factor is just huge diving from home, I think once the virus is under control our future trips won't involve much diving if any, will be museums or mountains or whatever tourist do on trips.
