    Dizzy feeling after boat trip

Some people get the feeling, that they are still sailing, even when they are back on dry land. Could be some of that. I remember getting it from time to time, when I did a lot of racing. After two or three day with eight hours of sailing, I sometimes had that feeling, when I got back home. It is...

    Which regulator do you own?

I use a Mares Abyss 22. Had it with me on the dive in the Silfra Crack, Iceland. Water was 3°C (37.4°F) and I had no problem what so ever. Love it

    Your opinion...please!

Hey Raphyy I would recommend that you try it out. Sign up for a discover scuba. It is a single dive in a pool, which let you try the whole diving experience on for size. After that you well probably know, whether or not you would want to get certified. Furthermore in terms of money, you do not...

Point well made! I am slowly migrating towards having a 450D for normal photography and getting a dedicated UW-camera... Maybe something like the Sealife DC600 or DC800 Thank you once again for all your help Kim

    UW-photography without strobes

Ah! And thus it dawns on me. In the clear light of knowledge, I display my full embarrassments. ;) Thank you so much for clearing it up Kim! My initial reason for getting a 450D was to get a good topside camera. I just thought, that as I was getting that anyway, I might as well take it below...

    UW-photography without strobes

Hehe... Thanks Kim I may very well have misunderstood A LOT... After all I have never done any underwater photography and it is all a bit daunting still.... I simply read this A full range of dome and flat ports is available to accommodate most macro, wide-angle and zoom lenses. Port...

    UW-photography without strobes

Thank you all so much for the replies! It is of great value. The setup I was planning to get (when I get around to robbing a bank or two) is a Canon EOS 450D with an Ikelite housing and a wideangle wet-lens.

    UW-photography without strobes

Hey everybody I am slowly getting into the UW-photography craze. One of the things, that I want to experiment with is taking the pictures without strobes. This is partly based on a few articles, that I have read, but also inspired by some of the pictures I have seen here. The thing that...

First 2 Confined Dives Complete - Buoyancy questions

Hey Tom As a fellow beginner (OWD + 6 dives) I can definitely second that. I am still struggling like a drunk turtle in the water, but I feel a slow improvement in my control. One of the things, that really boosted my a long way was to focus on relaxing, swim slowly and take the buoyancy...

    Question for newer divers...

Dan, If I read your question right, you want to know, if there is a marked for such a course/service. I would definitely think that there is. In terms of my own background I became a PADI OWD just over a year ago. I have since then had six dives (one for fun, two for a dry suit specialty...

    I designed a dive club logo.....your thoughts?

Looks good.... I would draw the diver's arm closer to the body. That way it would look less like a skydiver and more like an experienced diver. Maybe add a buddy to the picture and have them turn more sideways... Just my messy thought...
