Spirits of the cave 2 Madagascar cave exploration

Hi Rich Funny you mention that and yes I agree, we are in the process of editing a different more "serious" version with narration and more info on the cave. The current version is more of a light headed vacation video type film. thanks

Untrained cave diving in the Dominican Republic

yeah it happens a lot but that is only proportional to how many free flows or other major gear failures (not many ever) the most minute thing to go wrong on any of those "guided" dives and you will get multiple fatalities. What you fail to point out is that the vast majority of guided cavern...

A letter to the open water diving community from the NACD

from what I gather so far the main cause of non cave dive trained accidents this year has been irresponsible dive "guides" taking OW dives into the cave zone, could the NACD report and somehow sanction or get theses "guides" in trouble? that would really help big time. In Mexico for example many...

Untrained cave diving in the Dominican Republic

I think the problem is not lack of training etc.. I think the problem is that training agencies will not hand out real sanctions, recreational diving agancies like PADI, SSI, CMAS should immediately revoke any certifications/affiliation when dive shops like Neptuno get caught in hazardous diving...

Untrained cave diving in the Dominican Republic

IMO these kind of "guided" dives are 100% the fault of the irresponsible guides, it is already a blurred line between the safe cavern zone and the full cave zone so to put any blame on unsuspecting OW clients signing up for what thet think is a safe cavern dive and then a gudie takes them into...

Untrained cave diving in the Dominican Republic

PADI Sent out a major safety warning letter last summer, Neptuno also got the letter but bottom line they really do not care, I tried to speak to the owner about ho dangerous this was and he told me to F off, I reported this to PADI and to SSI so hopefully they will get a call from them and listen.

Untrained cave diving in the Dominican Republic

Neptuno dive center in Juan Dolio is taking unsuspecting OW divers past the warning sign as if it was not even there and onto the mainline of Cueva Taina, this is insane, it is a full on, silty maze like breakdown room, very silty and is about 250mtrs form the entrance in the full cave zone this...

What do you guys think of Steve Bogaert's Razor Harness?

I dive the razor exclusively and have done so for a while now, i never really liked the MSR bag and for multi stage dives always resorted to using my old Armadillo. I think that the Razor is by far the best harness but never used it for multi stage dives as the MSR bag never really did it for...
