Just answering my own post... After managing to find my metric thread gauge, thread pitch seems to be 1.5mm. Major diameter of the thread is just shy of 33mm, so I guess we're talking M33x1.5 for the thread size. FWIW - I even found a $10 die on eBay to cut this thread, as it'll save me time...
