Tank Ha dive shop in Playa Del Carmen has a direct boat to Cozumel. I can recommend them as I use them every year.

I take my 3mm every year to Coz / Playa del Carmen. I like it for a little warmth and protection. Also if you do any cenotes you will need it.

I had a great experience with Tank-Ha in Playa. Did a total of 6 dives with them. Took their direct boat to Coz and did the Santa Rosa wall and did 4 dives in the cenotes. Very professional dive masters and a very well run business.

If you are going to dive Coz everyday, I would stay on the island. Riding the ferry, getting to your dive op and taking the ferry back to Playa will eat up a lot of vacation time. As far as I know only Tank Ha has a direct boat to Cozumel from Playa. This would cost considerably more than a...

Have you thought about staying in one of the many hotels along 5th ave or on the the beach in Playa? We go there every Feb. and stay at the Playa Maya hotel on the beach near 5th and 8th and we love it! There are so many great restaurants in Playa and it is a fun town to explore.

I saw my first shark during one of my OW training dives in Playa del Carmen, MX. It was a fairly large Bull shark and it followed us for about 10 minutes. That is something that you don't forget!

Another thumbs up for Geofish, did about 10 dives with them in February. Had a blast diving with Jonathan, one of the dive masters. I had no trouble setting up dives the day before. I e-mailed Christa the owner, and got a quick response with information, prices. Nice people, nice shop!
