    Punta Cana Diving Non existent

So I just returned from and all inclusive vacation to the Iberostar Dominicana at Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. We wanted to do a dive there but quickly found out that we were on the wrong side of the island. If you are planning a trip to the Dominican Republic and want to get in a dive you...

    First Time to Punta Cana

Just returned on the 2nd of January and did not do a dive. Was told that the best place to dive was about 2 hours away at Catalina island or anywhere around La Romana side of the island. They had an excursion to Catalina which is two tank dive including meals and would cost a little over $500...

    Learning from the military

I have a good buddy of mine who was in Special Forces and decided to try the Army's Scuba School, and after two weeks quit... Now this guy is in pretty good shape but he said that Scuba school was the hardest course he had been to...

    I hate dive flags!!!

That is hilarious... I'm sure you didn't think so at the time and could have been dangerous... but you have to admit it's pretty funny.

When your spouse isn't a diver

Me and my wife both dive (although she is not as thrilled as I am) so this is just my opinion. I think that as long as you guys enjoy the time together you should be fine. If she sits on the boat reading a book while you dive instead of staying home you guys should not have any issues. I...

SCUBA Diving Vieques & Culebra - The Spanish Virgin Islands

Did not see any mention of equipment for diving. Am I to assume that I would have to take all my gear with me? I am thinking of making my next dive in Puerto Rico.

    Cruising and Diving

UPDATE: Wanted to thank all of you for your advise. We got back from our cruise and dove in Grand Cayman. We were the only divers out of 9 that had our own gear. We took everything beside weight and BC. One guy was fighting with his equipment the whole dive, and when we got out of the water...

Grand Cayman Shore Dive with Carnival

I just return from my 5 day cruise with Carnival's Paradise. My wife and I decided to do a shore dive through Carnival because time was limited and wanted to make sure if the weather turned bad I would get reimbursed. We are new divers and this was our first ocean dive. My wife usually takes...

    The LDS of the future

I am by no way a Instructor nor a Captain, and I don't pretend to know how to do your job, so don't act like you know how to do mine.... We don't use die for our bumper stickers nor any sticker out there, we don't charge a setup fee especially if the artwork is print ready. I am retired...

    The LDS of the future

The instructor who does it for a living does it for money that is why they charge so much, where as the part timer does it for the love of the sport and wanting everyone else to enjoy it. I am as you see a newbie and that is my opinion you don't have to agree with me, and I have rented tanks...
