I have gone with Scuba Steve a few times. The boats are nice. A little full but I normally am the first in the last out and hang out at the back of the group.
I done quite a few dives off of cruise ships. One thing I used to run into all the time was "lack of participation". I used to sail out of Baltimore MD on smaller Royal Caribbean ships during the fall and spring months. The clientele on that ship is older and most of the time the dives are...
I want women to enjoy diving and want to dive. If they ask for help I will help if not I won't unless I see something dangerous about to happen. I think it is wise for the divers and industry to want women to dive. More people diving means more money. And also it is nice to spend time with a...
I chose my OCi over the VTX. I don't need color and the screen sucks down batteries. If you need a big computer screen but want a wrist mount I would try to pick up a vt 4 if you do not need a big screen and want a dive computer that also functions as a watch I would look at an OCi.
I use a back plate and wing and when i first got it I to had the same problem. Now what I do is put two straps on i get the top one semi tight just so i can make minor corrections to it. Once corrections are done I go to the bottom band make that tight and secure it then go back to the top band...
Hmm I would not trust a compressed o ring. In aircraft maintenance we have to change o rings every time we change a part out that has them. They form a seal when you install them the first time. If they are composed you may not get a good seal after you reuse them causing the computer to flood.
I will be hitting St Kitts in a few weeks as well as St Thomas. I am going on the RCCL Quantum of the Seas. I have dives planned with Blue Island and with Dive St kitts. I will try to respond when I get back with reviews for both of them. Reason I wanted to do them is I read reviews how they...
I have the same setup you do with the same wing. This past fall I was doing some diving in two wetsuits and found that I needed more weight. Normally the 16s are perfect for warm ocean and mid atlantic diving with me but i added 2lbs on each of my cam bands. Its not enough to stop an emergency...
I have had the same thing happen to me using RCI for dive excursions. Cancelled due to lack of participation so now I book through private groups and go diving.
I have actually tried to get my PP3 to disconnect at the surface before a dive on dry land and air on the line. I used the point of what I though was above normal force to try and failed. I didn't go all hulk on it as I didn't want to possibly damage something but I used enough to know that...
I also saw those but think I am leaning more towards the OCI because of it being useful as a watch and dive computer plus it can run for 300 hours vs the 30 of the oled display vtx(according to oceanic's website).
When I use my PP3 I simply have a butterfly clamp that attaches it to a d point across my chest. I use diver log on my mac because it is designed to work on my mac. I like to have the cable to download my dive profiles because it shows my sac rate and other dive info so I can always look at the...
I was also looking at getting a vtx but decided not to. if you look on oceanic website it states only 30 hours of bat life while diving when the oci not color or oled has a much higher bat life and can be used as a reg watch when not diving, and also has slightly more features. both around same...
Is the oc1 and obi similar I have acquired an oci and wanted to take the class for it but only see the oc1. I do not mind paying for the class just want to make sure that the computers are similar so the same details of the watch programming wise are in the same place.
I know I have had to fill out a high risk form for diving in my unit. I had my supervisor ask me that other day if I follow safe diving practices. I wonder if the entire air force will review their diving policies. The only reason I would want to go to Japan is for the nice dive sites but being...
