I use aftermarket batteries and typically dive for 70 - 80 minutes...I've not had the battery run out...down side is it takes forever to upload the movie...

Did my first 2 certified solo dives yesterday....what a blast...I was the first diver into the quarry so it truly was a solo dive...Best things about the dives....1) I made the dive plan, didn't need/get any input from anyone else on where I was going/what I was doing...2) Moved at my own pace...

I've been looking into the TDI Advanced Nitrox & Deco Procedures courses and I'd like to get the manuals now and read through them. I've had no luck with a Google search and the SDI/TDI website just directs you to a page to find shops near you.

Completed the SDI Solo Diver course.....had a great instructor that added a bunch of skills to the dives...looking forward to a dive where I don't have to look over my shoulder

I doubt it will happen based on a legal standpoint...every diver is "self reliant" but not every diver is "solo"

Not sure what quarries you're diving in as you are from NY but the only quarry I go to in PA doesn't let you dive Solo with a PADI Self Reliant card

Doesn't matter if there were 1,000 posts, the PADI course is not accepted as a SOLO certification where I would dive hence I would not be able to dive there Solo so it's useless FOR ME as I stated above....lets not forget that PADI does not promote Solo diving, their philosophy behind the Self...
