What I did was taking a screenshot of scuba.com and sending it to Leisure Pro, and they sold it for the same price.

Leisurepro is crazy, I got mine for about the same price. And it only showed up on my PC. If I checked the price on my phone it showed 350 bucks.

It's interesting to see how things are going in the US. I live in Brazil and just started diving. I got a feeling that the diving hobby here is groing really fast. I live about 300 miles from the ocean and my city has at least 4 dive shops (that makes money mostly from courses and dive trips)...

If money isn't a problem I couldn't agree with you more. But if it isn't, I don't see the point of spending almost the same as the whole rig in a computer since a cheap one would suit all your needs for a long time. Of curse that's just my opinion, I'm a beginner diver too and would love to buy...

Most of the people I talked that are advanced enough to need a computer like the Perdix have a backup computer too as a safety measure. I suggest you get a cheap one with gauge mode to use as backup in the future in case you get to more advanced dives.

Just saw this one for 30 bucks with the batteries. It's similar to the ones on Amazon and although it says 800 lumens it has the same Cree light announced as 1000 lumens on other lights.

I think what he means it that lithium batteries lose their capacity over the years. I also don't like this lithium battery thing, after 5 years what would happen? My phones never last more then 3 years and the batteries are aways the first problem.
