What tanks are you diving in the DelMarVA?

Genesis tanks are steel. AL100s are bulky and heavy. You are right to go with steel.

What tanks are you diving in the DelMarVA?

I have a pair of Genesis HP 100s I' like to sell. They need hydro, but I guarantee they'll pass. DIN valves. About the same size as AL80s, but they are neutrally bouyant when empty. Also have a modular manifold and bands if you want to consider doubles. Steve in Crofton MD

Moving from SoCal to Maryland, what is the diving like?

I don't think beach in MD dives are worth the effort - low viz, lots of turbulence and nothing but sand. There are some near shore wrecks off Delaware but due to poor viz. you need a GPS and depth finder to loacte them. Better to dive them from a boat. I have done some shallow shore dives in...

A few years ago I participated in an underwater survey of the harbour area of New Castle. Depths 20 to 50 feet. Diving in MD? Wrecks, Lobster? When and where?

There are not as many dive boats running out of DE and MD as there once were, but its still possible to get up early and drive to the shore for a day of wreck diving. If your staying at the shore, you can add some diving to your trip. Cost of accommodations makes it expensive to do multiday...
