    frame grab software sought

I edit AVCHD2 1080/60p mts files directly in Adobe Premiere Elements 10. The program does not come with presets for this, but someone created a User patch which you can read about here: Adobe Forums: Premiere Elements 10 (Windows): new editing presets for 1080p60/50, burn Bluray/AVCHD at 24p...

    frame grab software sought

Premiere Elements will do it too if you are looking for a cheaper way than using Pro. It is a very nice editor for consumer level editing.

My first HD 1080/60p Underwater Videos

I just tried the method you suggested, it put a YouTube embed in but the link did not function. It said the video was not available. Since I am now replying to Your post I'll use the video embed now... I used Auto focus, The manual focus is on a touch screen which I cannot access...

    Red filter when using lights?

I used both a red filter and a light in the videos I took. I think they turned out well. They can be found in this thread: http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/underwater-videography/424888-my-first-hd-1080-60p-underwater-videos.html

My first HD 1080/60p Underwater Videos

I just returned from vacation in the Bahamas with my new HD rig: This is my first time using anything other than a point and shoot camera in "video mode". Footage is shot with a Panasonic HDC-TM90 shot in AVCHD2 1080p 60p fps with an Equinox HD6 Housing w/Red Filter, a Sola 1200 Dive Light...

    Replacement band for VT4

I still have a VT3 and I replaced my factory bands with a DSS Bungee mount. Works very nicely. It works with VT4 as well. https://www.deepseasupply.com/index.php?product=1334

    Red filter when using lights?

Unfortunately my manual white balance is on the touch screen, which my housing doesn't let me access. What do you do at depth to set yours? Carry a white balance reference card? Use a dive slate?

    Red filter when using lights?

The light is a Sola 1200, which has recieved good reviews... It has 3 settings, 300, 600, and 1200 lumens so can decrease the light if it is getting blown out. I don't see any hotspots in any of the settings. Havent tried it yet but I think it is a good light. Good to know that using the...

    Red filter when using lights?

I am new to underwater videography. Heading to the Bahamas mid month. I have a new housing and a 1200 lumens LED light. I know that depth decreases red color and the red filter corrects for that. But if I use a light when shooting a reef, does the light bring the color back and make the red...

Just bought an Equinox HD6 Video Housing. I have a few questions on lighting.

Thanks for the input guys, especially the advice on when to and when not to use the red filter. I went ahead and bought the Sola 1200 with the adapter diversteve linked a pic of. I decided to use the LocLine connector. Hopefully everything works out well and I find some good stuff to shoot...

Just bought an Equinox HD6 Video Housing. I have a few questions on lighting.

Hi everyone, I need some advice. I am new to underwater videography. I just bought an Equinox HD6 for my HD video camera. I plan to use it next month on a trip to the Bahamas on reef dives not much more than 40 feet deep and diving during the day time. I am also going to be videoing my kids...

    New Oceanic VT3 Dive Computer

NDC is a Dive Time Remaining based on Nitrogen Loading. For a quick description of what the other screens during Dive mode are just review pages 86-89 of your manual. It's easier to just read it than re-write it here.

    New Oceanic VT3 Dive Computer

I have my transmitter on the left side of my 1st stage and I wear the computer on my right wrist. What I have found that greatly reduces the chance of lost signal is to slightly twist my tank to the right when I put the BC on. If you have the sides of the transmitter angled toward the...

Whites Fusion Drysuit - are they tough?

What do you do when the suspenders fall apart? Can they be easily replaced or not?

If you were buying a new drysuit today, which one would you buy?

I dive off of New Jersey in the summer/fall, so it is pretty cold water. I have only dove 7mm farmer john/jacket wet thus far, and I have seriously been considering a drysuit to begin my season a little earlier and extend it a bit later. Well, I am at square one here. I have never dove a...

    My Elite T3 Issues

For the PO2, just set it to 1.6 and dive to your 1.4 depth limit. It will give you a high PO2 warning once you get to 1.4 anyway.

    New Oceanic VT3 Dive Computer

If you aren't using it for deco and you have say a 36% mix on a single and you are using a bail out bottle with air (since it is just a contingency bottle), if for some reason you had to switch to the bail out bottle and you wanted your computer to property track the nitro loading, you would...

    New Oceanic VT3 Dive Computer

Not being able to change FO2 to a lesser number after a dive is absolutely incorrect. I have dove a leaner mix on subsequent dives. Just remember, you have to wait until 10 min after your last dive before you can change ANY settings. The computer considers any dives made within the 10 min...

elite t3 and transmitter Bat replacement?

You can just buy the batteries from Radio Shack or Walmart. Just make sure you get the proper ones. Also make sure your O-Ring is in good shape, might want to re-lube them with a thin application of silicone grease.
