New RED FILTER for GoPro Dive Housing by SRP - Official Thread

When you look behind the dome (yes, YOU are the hero :) ), with the hole in the dome for the power button on your right, you can attach the lanyard into the first hole you see at the middle/bottom position (ONLY the one just in front of you). This is the part you should pinch to attach/remove...

New RED FILTER for GoPro Dive Housing by SRP - Official Thread

Nice to hear that :) I agree with you and that's why naturally I attached the lanyard to the bottom hole. It's then very very easy and safe too. Don't hesitate to share your footages !

New RED FILTER for GoPro Dive Housing by SRP - Official Thread

I don't understand the need to compare equipments for different usages and different budgets... I have also 3 Sola (1200 & 2000) that can't do anything with lot of light at -20 or -30 meters. No sun light => use expensive lights Sun light => use filters

What I see is that they should have use the DOME SRP Filter !!! (and this footage was in Tahiti...)

New RED FILTER for GoPro Dive Housing by SRP - Official Thread

I completely agree with all what you said guys. I'm in the same situation where my 2xsola 1200 + 1xsola 2000 are inefficient in daytime in Tahiti with the subject at more than one meter. A good choice with very low light (where filters cannot do miracles), but so expensive... Optical design and...

New RED FILTER for GoPro Dive Housing by SRP - Official Thread

Of course you can mount or unmount in the water, it's made for ;) and you can do it with or without gloves. It's firmly mounted, no chance to loose it, but you can even secure. My filter was tested in French Polynesia, and is perfect here from 8 to 30 meters, w/sunny day. To keep it in your...

@James, please consider profesionnals or companies can be contacted by so many kinds of testers, sponsors, all for "free", that sometimes they can't answer everyone, and I know what I'm talking about. I publish a magazine, and get hundred of emails a day, I'm not able to answer all of them...

New RED FILTER for GoPro Dive Housing by SRP - Official Thread

It is, but it's a dome filter, not a cookie... You seem to forget one thing, just find another filter with the same results and buy it ! I don't know any other filter with that capabilities. So waiting for a month is not a pain, yes ? I will never buy any product built in one month (because it...

New RED FILTER for GoPro Dive Housing by SRP - Official Thread

None at all ! The flat lens is on the gopro housing itself, so there is no need to flat the filter. Having a curved filter improves sharpness and correct color aberrations on the sides, according to the wide angle of the camera. Of course to be 100% accurate the filter should be a huge...

New RED FILTER for GoPro Dive Housing by SRP - Official Thread

it sits on one side below the lens, but I used it without any problem with gloves. Of course that was gloves for french polynesia. But as I told on my french board, if you can push that tiny camera button, then it should not be more difficult to push it with the lens on. The only cons is the...

Backscatter red flip filter in action (GoPro Dive Housing)

SRP is the brand that works with URPro for optical purposes to build the next to release filter for 2 configurations : one slip over for the existing Blurfix, and one dedicated for the brand new GoPro Dive Housing (you clip it on the flat lens). That's the one I had the ability to review and...

New RED FILTER for GoPro Dive Housing by SRP - Official Thread

fyi I'll plan another test dive with 3x HD HERO2, all with the gopro dive housing, but one without any filter, one with BS, one with SRP. I'll put it side by side on the tray, without any light. But I need to plan a dive from 0 to 15 meters (below, I already know the new SRP filter rocks !) with...

New RED FILTER for GoPro Dive Housing by SRP - Official Thread

Thank you Marty ;) sure sharks are great and cool here ! BS told me that the Flip Magic optimum depth range is 2 to 10 meters. A bit shallow in my mind. And the SRP design... wow what a design too ! the GoPro looks incredible ! shhhhhh.... they'll see soon how it is ;)
