I dove the 1000 island area of the St. Lawrance last year on a trip booked though my LDS in NJ (4 days divining). It was a VERY enjoyable trip and I would like to spend even more time diving the St. Lawrance this year. We stayed at the Caiger Country Inn and left from their dock every morning. Which convient and made moring quite enjoyable. Get up, have breakfast, and then down to the dock by 9:00...

So, my question is this, does anyone have recomendations for this same kind of set up in the 100 Island area? I would like to take 2 or three trips up to the St. Lawrance this summer and would like to book dirrectly with the boat and lodging (or both in on package.) I will be diving recreational limits and binging my buddy with me.

Thanks...

The charter operation I would recommend and who I have been using in that area for many years is Wayne Green (info@islanddiver.ca). He has a couple of boats and runs out of Caigers. The hotel you can book directly very easily. There are several other options in the area from chain hotels to campsites (KOA in Mallorytown for example). Good luck

Yes, now that you bring up the name, Islanddiver is who we used last year. Wayne was EXCELLENT!!! If I get no other suggestions that is the way I will go this year for sure.

You might also look into BottomTime Charters if Wayne is full. I think they changed owners last year, or at least captains as the old captain headed South to run a live aboard. I haven't chartered with the new guys, but I don't think that Evan would have handed the boat off to someone crappy.
They run a boat called Regulator out of Brockville (great boat), and another out of Rockport. There are lots of hotels in the area and you could do one day out of Brockville and another out of Rockport to get the best wrecks.

We're taking the Roy E up to Brockville/Rockport for Labour Day weekend. It looks like we're booked for the mornings so far but we have openings in the afternoons.

Above & Below, Jimmi Livesay and UnderWhere? with Tom Scott are both excellent charters out of Brockville. by booking a couple of runs with them you can do some of the wrecks in the Brockville area with a shorter trip on the water.

You can get ahold of both of them through Jimmi at the above website. If you haven't already been there you should stop in and see Dan Humble at Dive-Tech Training Centre. This is a huge LDS with lot's of selection for sale and rental.
