Hi all,

I have an old Dacor 1/2" taper J-valve of the type that was apparently used with a teflon washer in place of a proper o-ring at the valve face to regulator interface. The problem is that I am missing just such a washer. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement or whether there is a proper o-ring that fits? As far as I can tell the ID of the washer is ~3/8" the OD is ~3/4" and the thickness is ~3/16". This is not close enough to any standard o-ring size, US or metric, that I have been able to find.

Thanks in advance,

-Klaus

You may want to do a search at VintageDoubleHose.com
The subject has been discussed a few times over there and there has been some talk about having them reproduced.
Someone also pointed out that there are or there may be some nylon washers from McMaster Carr that would work.
Again this is kind of a on going subject over there (at VDH).

good luck
