Catching up! Here are some from Saturdays dives, off Eric's Pinnacle (Pacific Grove) and the ever beautiful Shale Island.

We see these Purple Ringtop (Jewelled) Snails constantly, but almost never out of their shells. Saturday, here were several, all fully extended. Bonus!

This looked really cool underwater, but I've yet to figure out how to put interesting light on a black subject like this Tube Anemone (or Black Limpets) without completely blowing out the brighter stuff around them, like the big Ochre Star next to it, which is very reflective.

This Fish Eating Anemone appears to be munching on a large shrimp.

Beautiful Larry!! Looks like you are really getting some great dives. I've never been able to capture the color of those dark tube anemones no matter what I try. They look purple underwater but dull gray/black in the image. Thanks,

Very nice pics, thanks for sharing.

Great stuff, Larry. One of these days I'm going to have to get my nerve up and brave those cold Monterey waters! Yeah, I know -- I'm definitely a warm water wuss! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Ken, Dennis, Aelvin, Skeeter, Marc & Doug.
Doug, you won't be sorry. You might try doing a Channel Islands trip. By late summer, it's usually about 70 at the surface and seldom below 57 at 100 feet. The dive boat guys do it in their swimsuits. Most of the divers wear at least 5 mil, but I've seen 3's. (usually shivering after a long dive). I used to be toasty in my 7,8,9 hoody but now I'm diving dry, so I sweat topside but I'm toasty in 48 at 100ft.in Carmel. If you're doing 200' plus, you must have something that's warm.
