Hi Everyone,

I live in the Boston area (Waltham) and I've finally decided to take my Advance Open Water. I haven't dived off Boston yet so I figure this a great way of killing two birds with one stone, so to speak. I'm wondering if anyone could recommend a good dive shop that runs this course?

Thanks for any Info

Richard

PG Dive in Newton, MA - excellent place; not very cheap but i'm comparing to prices I can get through the university (highly discounted).

go with United Divers in Somerville. they are really good.

Price is going to be best with Jim Sullivan (plus all dives will be from his very nice boat). I'm also sure PG runs good classes. One factor to consider is what five dives are you going to be doing. Just don't get stuck with things like "boat dive" and "underwater naturalist" (at least IMO these are rip offs).

I was thinking there were a few to be avoided. I noticed one of them was 'wreck diver'. Excuse my ignorance but are there any worthwhile wrecks off Cape Ann/MA that can be dived? (I'm from England but live in MA now so sorry if that's a horrenous question)
Is wreck diving a good one to do for the PADI AOW?

That would be the Chester Poling then (google is awesome - should of just done that).
