Advice for purchasing a set of doubles

I will be in the market for a set of doubles in the near future and was looking for advice/tips on what to look at. They will most likely be HP steels, but not sure of the size since apparently buoyancy is different with each setup. I plan on diving deep wrecks, around the 200-250 ft. range and also caves. I will get the proper tec training first.

Also, what are some good brands of manifolds and tank bands? Ideally, I'd like to keep everything below $1000, but for better gear, I'm happy paying more.
