I have had the x1 wrist mount compass for about a year and a half with no problems. However yesterday we were doing a dive that required navigation and the compass mysteriously wasn't working. It is always stored in on top of my weights in a small bucket I use for weights, lights, knife, compass, and dry gloves and hasn't been dropped or anything. Do they have a lifespan? On closer inspectin it appears there might be something floating around inside it. Any ideas?
