I know this may be a silly question, but I just upgraded to an AI computer. Once transmitter is installed do folks leave it on the first stage the entire time or do you take it off for travel or safe keeping in its case when not diving.
Thank you!

I've been diving hoseless AI since 2010, over 1,400 dives. I have always left the transmiier directly connected to my 1st stage, no short hose. I've had no problems.

Might I suggest that if your transmitter is directly connected to your regulator to be careful with it during a dive trip. It can be mistaken as a handle if your not careful and could be bent or ripped out of the regulator.

I use a rubber hose about 6 inches in length to attach mine to the regulator. I also have a swivel so the transmitter can turn.

I can show you my setup but will be after Christmas.

Glenn

I leave it on, just careful when attaching, detaching reg and rinsing.
