All about the backup regulator necklace

Thanks. I'd like to give the necklace a shot. This probably sounds really lame, but what type of chord do you guys make it from? Where do you get it?

Yes, I've seen chord in camping supply stores etc, but didn't know if there was other "stuff" these things were made from.

I found a bunch of different sizes at the local Long's store. Yea, for real. they carry a bunch of camping and fishing related stuff and the surgical tubing is for the wrist rocket type sling shots.
I think I got 6' of the stuff in 3/8 size for about $1.35
I just put a new zip tie around the reg mouthpiece and clamped the surg tube under it. No knots, no loops, just a 13" piece of tuning captive under the new zip tie.

Sorry, forgot to clarify. I bought about 12 feet of the stuff. For diving and other things as well.
