Why would you want to take a poor helpless octopus out of its niche?
 
lol, you don't have to be DIR to wear your second regulator on a necklace around
your neck... (even i do it, and I'm not DIR)

it just makes sense...

I just got my new hoses today, attached the blot snap to the 7 footer, and trying to figure out how to make the DIR octopus holder? Anyone have a website or even a pic for me to look at?
Just to get the difinitions squated away to avoid confusion, the primary is what you breathe and the backup is what's around your neck. There is nothing called an "octopus" in DIR.

I'll bet some folks are still running 2 second stages off of 1 first stage.

yes, for open water. i only use H valves (and separate first stages) when overhead. of course, double tanks
would be better, but i'm not there yet.
