Anybody has any experience about ALUMINIUM FINGER SPOOLS?

I know that the spool used to be made of delrin. Tobin recently made a SS one though.

Thanks in advance,

A dropped ss spool will plummet to the bottom, FWIW

They look cool an' all, but I fail to see any benefit.

If you deploy a delrin spool on a liftbag, it just spins in front of your face until the bag surfaces, then you reach out and grab it. You can't do that with an SS spool.

Ever had a machined delrin spool break on you?

For the things I use spools for, delrin spools work fine.

Guess it depends on how hard you are on your spools...
