So I’ve had my double brushed-AL80s together for about two months- made about 20 dives in salt water, rinsed them along with everything else. Took them apart the other day and found some small but widespread pits under the bands- nothing severe enough to condemn yet.

I’ve done a little research on the Board here, so far I’ve come up with wrapping the tanks with electrical tape. There has to be a better option- Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Use duct tape. It's about the same width as the bands.

2.5'' packing tape, or just don't worry about it. It'll stop corroding, its not like rust that just keeps on going.

Tyre tube.

Like he said tire tube. Use it on my 19 pony.
