Captain Terry Crowell of Deep South Divers has announced that he's running a charter out to Gray's Reef (or similar site, depending on diver preference) offshore Georgia on either Saturday, 11/29 or Sunday, 11/30. Already, two of his seats are taken; there's four left as of this announcement.

I have added this dive to our calendar.

In case you haven't chartered with Capt. Terry before, it's quite a treat. His is a 45' motor yacht, and quite nice. There's indoor and outdoor decks on the boat, and the trip out there, while long, is wonderful. Breakfast and lunch are both served onboard the yacht.

More information can be had about Terry's services at http://www.tlccharters.com . I expect this charter, as all of the others he's done, to cost about $100 per diver; nondivers may be able to reserve a seat at a reduced rate.

Terry's yacht is a six-pack charter... That is, there is a maximum of six paying patrons that can be on the boat. To a diver, this means that there's lots of personalized service and plenty of room for napping, hanging out, eating, gearing up, or whatever.

Meet Captain Terry and his lovely sweetheart Judy at the contact page on the Deep South Divers' website. Go to http://www.DeepSouthDivers.org and click on "Talk" and then "Contact Us." You will see them listed under "Crowell."

Also, there is tons and tons of great information about Gray's Reef, the largest living organism in the United States, and one of only seven protected marine sanctuaries. Go to http://www.DeepSouthDivers.org and click on "Dive" then "Places to Dive" then "Our Local Dive Sites." You will find a massive amount of information there about Gray's Reef National Marine Sanctuary.

I hope to see you there. :)
