I'm going to be replacing my Zeagle Octo+ inflator secondary, with a true octopus secondary. Is there anything bad about keeping the Octo+ and adding an octopus? I don't have the original power inflator so I would have to buy that as well as the octopus, and I can't see anything wrong with having three regs other than the bulkiness of it. Thoughts??

Sounds good to me--then you can buddy breath with 2 others, @ the same time......

Some may consider it an unnecessary potential failure point. But, with a little practice, it is a potential failure point you can quickly disconnect. Eventually it will be cheaper to replace it than to service it.

The Zeagle Octo Plus is my preferred alternate air.
It is an Apeks reg.

I used to do OW courses with an old Seaquest air source, an octopus
and a pony.

They called me the Air Factory..

amongst other things

dang, you sometimes had the whole class 'covered'---@ times looked like a mama sow with all her piglets 'hanging on'......:D

I guess it depends on the reg...
"Eventually" may mean a looong time: I just serviced our 2 Scubapro AIR2's that are 10 years overdue for service.. And I still wonder why I did it because there's absolutely nothing wrong with them, both before and after the service.

Me too.

In a current too. Gonna have to get some cabbage leaves.

But you don't need no thumbs of a gorilla to push these buttons.

Just some light depressings of a Shrader with a soft rubber button on.

Thanks soccerguy83 for helping with my avoidance issues and motivating
a cute ass morning job, with coffee and other fiddlings positive experience.

Interesting about the orifice, adjusts itself sitting in a hole by itself with an O ring
one of which is on the floor somewhere by the way, like the first AirII but not really
so you just adjust nothing.

The only thing I have ever replaced on these things is the 5 O rings, awap seat
and the tyre valve if I don't reverse the seat.

Yeah reversing seats if you have an abundance of awap seats is probably like
straightening nails.

And the rod for the pull was on the floor too but it's all together now because
I had to put some washing inside the bench.

What he said.

In the US the cost of one service is likely to exceed the cost of a replacement inflator, if you don't still have the original.
