I will be in the High Springs, FL area next month and was wondering if there were any areas open to solo diving. I know the state parks don't allow it. Are there any other areas that do? I'm mostly interested in diving springs and doing limited cavern penetration. I am cavern certified and the vast majority of my dives are done solo. I will be camping at Ginnie Springs and would like to find something within a reasonable driving distance.

Thanks,
Randy

Actually, Ginnie Springs itself will let you go solo. I just got back from there this past weekend, and knocked out a solo whilst my dive buddies were off exploring Gainesville. Last year, my dad went down by himself to camp and get away for the week, and dove there solo the entire time. If you are EANx, check out Cave Excursions, right down the road, for fills. Cheap, friendly, knowledgeable.

As a side note, don't even waste time driving to Blue Grotto, they are strictly no solo. Can't attest to any other places, but Rich @ Cave Excursions would know.
