nope i'm not a marine, (wouldn't let me in, medical reasons) but a lot of my friends and family Are/were , well except my grandfather somehow he ended up in the NAVY as a master chief, don't know how that happened

Actually our uniforms haven't changed much, and many points pay homage to battles of past: the 4-leave clover on top of an Officer's round cover (hat) goes back to the Revolution, the red seam on our dress blue blouse (jacket) also, the red stripe on NCO's dress blue trousers from Mexico City, etc.

Well, I spent a year in Roswell, New Mexico attending NMMI - does that count???

It does explain my weakness for men in uniforms - and yes, DH is well aware that the image of Tom Cruise in Top Gun makes me drool.

I'm doomed ... been jinxed...last dive of the week and had a mahagany snapper swimming around me....then it pooped on my arm !!! No doubt in my mind that I'm the queen of poo now !!
