I had an up close & personal encounter with a large Sea Turtle this morning.:D I was diving the blocks at S. Brohard. Towards the end of the dive, I was moving into the shallower area, looking for teeth, when I felt something nudge my arm. At first I thought that the surge had pushed me into one of the blocks. When I looked to see what was nudging me, I discovered that this block was moving! Here it was a large Sea Turtle!!:D I guess she didn't see me until she bumped me. I floated up & over her back & she looked at me over her right shoulder, opened her mouth & started to swim towards me.:shocked2: I told her "whoa girl!! I'm just as surprised as you are!! Relax, I mean you no harm!":blinking: I backed away & she calmed down. :D I'm no worldly scuba diver but I have been to the Keys & Cozumel & I gotta tell ya that I consider this dive, in 12 ft of water, off of S Brohard Beach, to be the best dive ever!!

Very cool Dana, I ran into a small sea turtle at the blocks @ the venice public beach on sunday. We are in the middle of sea turtle nesting season. The first clutches of eggs are just starting to hatch and the "girls" are starting the second round of laying.
