Has anyone adapted a Draeger Ray to a backplate? Or at least found a way to get rid of the positive bouyancy?

deepblueh2o:yes to the backplate. not sure what you mean about the positive buyancy.
There is a dead section in the center of the bc air bag. You can burn match holes through the shell and bc air bag, then bolt it down. The counter lungs fold out of the way.
