I ran a couple of tests at 720p-60 in a Hero3 Black and got 58 minutes recording with a GoPro battery and 54 minutes with a Wasabi and these would be in line with GoPro estimates. This is recording the entire time though. If you leave the camera on for an hour but only choose to record for a total of 30 seconds don't go claiming the camera has short battery life because it "only recorded for 30 seconds on a battery". The meter starts running when you turn the camera on not just when you are recording. (All cameras behave this way.)
