Why put Texas on the poll? Lake Travis is all I can think of? Funniest Texas story is a friend and his now ex wife wanted cheap instruction... Their open water dives were in a very warm lake used for cooling one of the states nuclear power stations. Could not see more than 5'.

We just dove Balmoreah (San Solomon Springs) New Years, and while it's not Hawaii, the water is 74 degrees even when the temp is in the 30's. The viz is 70+ and theres tons of fish and even some turtles to look at. Oh yeah....the depth is only 23ft so the bottom times are huge, like 55min to an hour.
