Finally the clear blue water has arrived at Byron Bay. With clear 20m+ vis with up to 26c water temp moving over the top of cooler 20c 8m vis.

I had the chance to take my camera out and capture some pics of the Locals down at "The Needles" at Julian Rocks with the Team from Sundive (Dive Byron Bay Scuba Diving Australia with Sundive)

Thanks a lot for sharing. Fantastic photos. Julian Rocks.... got my OW & AOW there. With Sundive of course . Yesterday I dove 5 degree waters. But vis was OK too.

Awesome stuff Mark !!

I love it when you put up your photos. It makes me smile at some great memories. I'd love to get back there some day.

Mark - How can this be so! I dived there last Friday on my way home from holidays and it was 19c and lucky to have 5m viz with weed everywhere. To add insult to injury I put my system together the night before and forgot to take off the lens cap. If the sea had been clean I would have got out and fixed it.

Great photo's and exactly what I was hoping to see if I wasnt freezing and staring into the muck.

Fantastic shots. What is the shark(?) in shot four and following, with the remora hanging off it?

Alison

Amazing photos, I dived at the Julian rocks with Sundive, back in Jan 2008, was a good dive and saw a real nice turtle, but no sharks! Sadly i did not have a camera that day. Have a look at my photos Mark @ divefish - scuba diving photos - home, i just have a Sony Cybershot W170, its not bad, but will never get the kind of quality like your photos. How much was your housing if you don't mind me asking, I can't find it cheap anywhere for an SLR.

Anyway great photos

Andrew
