Thanks Bob, glad to hear that the vault is being unlocked and overflowing!
Awesome if you have pictures of purple Tan Deltas, I haven't come across any thus far. They seem to be a rare breed.

In 1979 this camera was used to survey 50 miles of the coastline off the Bay of the Turtle in Mexico.

Bob Evans designed this camera system to withstand numerous hours underwater at depth and to capture the best image possible at this time.

Always designing, always looking into the Ocean for answers.

This Bob Evans design allowed the diver to change the flexibility of the fin blade while underwater and at the surface.

This predates the Reflex by Wenoka which was an innovative design, but you could not change the batons on the fly. Never dove them, but my buddy had a pair. Any remember them?

they look pretty neat :)
waht makes them so special (besides the way it looks) ?
it looks like an early prototype or something...

Ickis,
They were a prototype blade design( you can see the shape) and they were also made with a durameter that has not been used to this date.

In 1971 Bob Evans organized a sport diving trip that was a first of its kind. It was the first sport diving trip to Wilson’s Rock, San Miguel Island. The boat was the Emerald out of Santa Barbara, California- Captain Glenn Miller- Divers Bob Evans, Dick Anderson, Scott Carpenter, and Bev Morgan.

Bob was still working on his 5000 hours underwater on his Jet Fins when he decided to start planning the expedition. After weeks of getting the team together and convincing the Captain to take the boat out there for” Sport Divers” - history was made.

Bob had never dove with a collared vest so when Captain Glen Miller offered Bob a Fenzy compensating vest he gladly accepted. After all this was a "Sport" diving trip LOL

Bob told me he dove down to assess the site by himself to 150 FSW and once he arrived there he opened and closed the small cylinder attached to the vest to adjust his buoyancy and literally had to push the fish out of the way to allow his camera to take a photo of the canyon.

even THE bob evans used jet fins huh ? :)

never went diving in america, is it nice ?
cool photo by the way, kinda looks like those early pioneers of diving pictures (i guess in a way it is :) ).
keep posting more interesting things :)

The Diving is better than Israel. The Florida Keys have a lot of nice reefs and Wrecks.
The Great Lakes have some of the finest Wreck Dives in the world. The Pacific Northwest has a lot of interesting Marine Life and Hawaii is great as well. This is a huge country with a lot of great diving.
