I think that is it!! Thanks guys. Went to LBTS thinking I should see more of them and ask someone that was with us diving, and not a one of them out there.

It is my experience that you will only see these little guys very shallow.
I have only seen them in the intra-coastal, tidal flats, and very near inlets.

I have NEVER seen one in what we would describe as "Open Ocean".

That could explain some of it, but I did see some further away from the jettie, over where the rubble/reef is at South Inlet park. Which would put them in more open water and deeper than the jettie. Maybe they are just like the area:)
