Took my 10 yr old (almost 11 now) out on Fathers day for 3 dives. Was a great way to break the 100 dive mark for me.

My DIY Build-a-Buddy project is coming along nicely.

That's a great feeling, isn't it? My son got certified last year at age 11. Unfortunately, this year he's discovered girls, so we haven't had an opportunity to get in the water together yet. 4th of July weekend will be our big diving/camping expedition!

Congrats!

My daughter's still at least 2 years away. She's my snorkeling buddy though for as long as she can stand the cold.

Way excellent dude.

Hey Wabbit, I can send a wetsuit or are you talking about when the wetsuit runs out? I hate that.

She wouldn't last 3 minutes around here without a wetsuit. I think the temperature was 52 degrees last time I was out. Sometimes on the surface in areas without much exchange temperatures can get into the 60's though.

Luckily, kids wetsuits are fairly cheap. I put a couple of sodium acetate heating pads in her suit and she can stay in the 50 degree water for about 40 minutes.

Enjoy it and make memories! Diving with my dad when he was alive was some of the best times ever!
