The only problem is that in order to have a moonpool at depth, the whole hotel would have to be pressurized. You couldn't have immediate access to the surface, and you'd have to decompress when you left. But that brings up a new idea--

Saturation Vaction

Think about it! Almost unlimited no-deco time on your dives (only once to get topside). Although it introduces a score of new problems. but a good concept, nonetheless.

Couldn't you get around this by having a "pressure-lock" between the moon pool area and the rest of the hotel (1 atm area)? The moonpool area would be pressurized to ambient, but once inside the pressure lock, divers could go through a precisely controlled "ascent" to one atmosphere and then enter the hotel. They could even sell advertising time/space in the lock (kind of like putting ads above urinals in bars and restaurants)!

Those wacky guys over at U.S. Subs have some plans sketched out for an interesting underwater tourism habitat (albeit pressurized): http://ussubs.com/SeaRoom_folder/searoom.habs.5.html
