I am looking at getting a backup battery or two for my Oly 5060WZ. Olympus sells replacements for $60 but I can find others for $3 to $50. I am wondering if there are any after market brands to stay away from.

Also a technical question: My battery is a 7.2v 1500mAh
I see a lot of similar ones but they are 7.4v 1500mAh or 7.2v 1300mAh, etc.

Does this make a big difference? Thanks.

I went with the Energizer ER-D510. It performed well (Better than the Oly) and I found it for $20. I'll see how it works once I get it.

Well I recieved the battery and it wasn't an Energizer. They say they ran out of the Energizer and substituted a "Bower" which I can't find any information on except in Russian (I think it's Russian). The mah is 1500 on the Bower compared to 1300 on the Energizer but I'm converned about battery drain.

Is anyone familiar with the Bower brand? I'm not sure if I should return it or keep it. Thanks.
