Can I use a console under water when not screwed into a 1st stage ?

Don’t use goggles!! The deeper you go the more like suction cups they become. It will be like giving your eyeball a hickey, ruptured blood vessels, very unsightly.

It sounds like you are trying to teach yourself, don’t!! Diving is easy to do but there are a bunch of things that are super important but might not be obvious. Damaged ear drums and eyes are not worth it. Learn it the right way once.

Just a quick note on use of vented earplugs. DAN has some reservations on their use, especially in cold water.
