Took my new CDX5/GT3 (with enviro kit and DVT) for its first dives last Sunday. The CDX5 made a metallic double clanging (clinking?) sound through out the two dives - felt like a belled sheep. The sound was somewhat like church bells. The other divers could hear it.

Has anyone had this problem? Or, can say what is causing it? I dry tested it at home yesterday, and it did not reproduce it. Is it only at pressure?

Oceanic now has some ground to make up with my dive group (especially after my pre dive strut).

I just got an older CDX5 first stage, not tested yet, does this "issue" apply to the older ones, or just the new DVT models?

If it's a hollow, ringing sort of sound, it's the DVT.

It's pretty common on FDX-10s.
