You're not too far from the mares puck range. I think there's a cressi model (leonardo) that occasionally goes on sale for around that price.

+1 on the Mares Puck. Inexpensive enough I use the AI and wrist model together.

I have this computer with the AI transmitter and love it. My primary buddy also has it (with the Tx) and loves it. It's good for a beginner and is something you can grow with.

LeisurePro has the Aeris XR1 NX on sale for $175. Aeris XR1 NX Wrist Computer at LeisurePro - I believe that model is discontinued. The NX means it does Nitrox.
Scubatoys has the Oceanic Veo 100 NX for $199. Oceanic Veo 100 NX Nitrox Wrist Computer discounts on sale Oceanic Functionally they're practically the same computer. Also discontinued.
