I did my ice course in a 7mm 2-piece Akona. 34F on the computer with ice forming in the hole. 4 dives over 2 days, each about 30-40mins long. Was it comfortable? Comfort is a relative thing. I was not freezing and did not shiver continuously on any of the dives, but I was not "warm" by any stretch of the imagination. It was mostly the feeling AFTER the dive. I was bagged as bagged gets. This year I dove dry and afterwards felt much more awake and energetic. Freezing water is cold no matter what you wear (save electric undergarments). I tell people who ask, dry suits don't keep you warm. You just get cold slower. And as was mentioned here, you get out of it dry. Getting out in sub-zero temps and pulling off that wet suit just plain sucks...
