I went scuba diving to the Comal River, Sunday, December12. Water temperature 72 degrees, viability 5 to 10 feet. It was a nice dive.

Rene,

I am hoping that means Hinman Island Drive has reopened. Road construction was supposed to be finished for the Wurstfest, but I have not been at the Comal since mid-August when I had to schlep my gear in my grandkids' wagon because the road was still closed. Luckily, it had not rained in the prior week, so I did have much better visibility than you experienced despite the river being filled with tubers. Glad you had a nice dive.
