Yeah, I think Godzilla's eggs make that sound just before hatching...

Maybe someone dropped their dive computer and it was chirping out a deco warning?
 
Probably a North Carolina chirping cricket fish.
 
Pistol shrimp.
 
Drums make noise with their swim bladders. They use their abdominal muscles against the swim bladders to make the noise.



There are saltwater drums as well.



I need to research this, i never quite understood why or how they would have had rocks in their head? or maybe they do. but SWIM BLADDERS?

Thanks for the info, my new goal is to learn more about local fish.
