Any one have any personal expierience info on these 2 dive areas of Cuba .
Thanks in advance.

Dove southwest Cuba last summer, loved it! We were aboard the Mexican liveaboard Oceanus. The water was warm (83-85F) clear (100-200ft) and mostly calm while we were there. The areas we dove stretched from just east of Maria La Gorda near Che Guevera's old camp to the westernmost tip of Cuba where the currents sent us back towards MLG.

We did nearly all wall dives, with the wall starting around 40ft and going down to well over 400ft. Pristine corals, not a lot of fish but enough to make it interesting. If you are in that area, and have the time ask to dive the Yemaya cave. Its a narrow swimthru in the reef that enters at about 35ft and exits at about 110ft, awesome dive.
