Does anyone here use the Dacor Panther fins or their twin the Mares Volo?? Is there a special kick technique to them??

There is a significant difference between the Volo & the Panther.
Perhaps you were meaning to compare the Volos against the Dacor Tigers? Those two are similar (but not identical) fins.
Frankly, most of the feedback I've heard & seen about the Panthers is not good. I'd stay away from them.

I agree, you will find a ton of threads on these fins. I happen to have volos, and they work fine for me, and I primarily frog kick. I hear that there are faster fins out there, but I'm not trying to zoom around underwater, either.

They are the same style fin Dacor copied the technology.. and now Mares owns Dacor anyway..... Mares is just a different tip style more fancey I say < but they are the same type of fin and they gave the same bend and flex) .... I don't want to argue which is better, or how each are different yadda yadda... What is the Best Kick technique for these fins.

1. Besides the fact that they both have a hinge these fins are as different as it gets. The Panther is a simplistic stiff piece of plastic; the Volo is a high performance fin which mimics the 4 channel technology of the Quattro. The price difference alone should make you think!Firediver:
2. They're both paddle style fins so almost any technique will work. You should pick the technique that the circumstances require.

There's no "special kick" for any of the fins you mentioned. However, the Volos & the Tigers are good all round fins that allow you to use a variety of kicks. This includes frog, backward sculling, etc.
Again, the Panthers are different from either the Tiger or the Volo. IMHO they are inferior to either of those fins.

I own a pair of Panthers. They weren't worth a penny of the $75 bucks I paid for them. I bought them for my OW class and before the pool sessions were over they had a stress line forming on the paddle about an 1 1/2 down from the hinge. I was not impressed at all. Since then, I have purchased my Oceanic V12 fins, wouldn't trade 'em for all the tea in China.
