Darwin

I just purchased a Darwin. I have to go back to the shop tomorrow to learn how to use it since the tech wasn't there when I was. Curiosity has got me but I can't even figure out how to turn the thing on. Can anybody help me? I know that I will learn more about this thing than I need to know, but I would just like to see it going before I go to the shop. HELP!!

A Dacor Darwin is a rebranded Mares M1.

Look here for the manual for the M1. It should get you started.

Thanks for the site FLL. I have the manuel but it doesn't show you how to turn the thing on that I have found. I guess I'll wait for another 12 hours before I learn this thing.

You're right - I looked quickly through the manual and it's not very clear. I did read that if you dive with the computer in the OFF mode, it will automatically come on in 30 seconds.

Try pushing the "<-->" button for longer than 2 seconds - that activates the different modes, which I think means it'll turn on.

Thanks Marc. I went in the water today after being instructed on the proper use of Darwin. I like it. Much better than analog gauge and citizen watch.

I just purchased one recently and stupidly left my manual in a cab. Neither Dacor or Mares websites have the PDF file. I was wondering if I could ask you to copy the English pages? Or would you know where I can download this?
