I'm a beginner diver (60-70 dives, PADI rescue) and I'm trying to follow/learn
DIR principles. I'm trying to learn as much as possible via internet, GUE online
resources/books. My instructor is also familiar with DIR and she's been helping
me a lot. I'm planning to take a GUE-DIRF class in spring. (Currently PADI DM
class is keeping me busy.)
I do recreational single tank diving with 7mm wetsuit. (No dry suit yet.)
But my setup is probably fully DIR (as far as I know) for single tank diving. My experience is primarily shore (day/night) dives to La Jolla canyon and kelp, and usually deep dives.
I would love to meet DIR divers in San Diego area and dive with
them. I really would love to experience the team concept, practice ascents/descents with the team, shooting SMB's, kick techniques, making
deep stops, OOA practices with long hose/bungee, etc.
Any DIR divers in SD area?
